  1. go to ps3toolset.com on your ps3 browser
  2. accept flash plugin
  3. go to "system manager" tab, select "flash memory"
  4. do a backup
  5. select flash memory patch, then select "download patch via http", after its done, press "apply patch"
  6. reboot system
  7. go to this website to download the custom firmware.
  8. extract the archive, copy the "PS3" folder to a fat32 formatted USB
  9. go to "settings" on the xrossmediabar, and select system update
  10. use the "Update via Storage Media" option
  11. accept and install, boom, ur done!
